Belts
When buying belts with numerical sizes, AE recommends that you go one size larger than your waist size.
For example, if you have a 30-inch waist, buy a 32-inch belt.

How to measure
Measuring Tips:
• For the best fit, do not measure your body while fully clothed.
• Keep in mind that most AE clothes made of cotton have been preshrunk, so they will keep their shape and size through washings.
Pants and Jeans
Women's pants and jeans fit according to waist, low waist, hip, and inseam measurements.
• Waist: bend to one side and note where the crease appears. Being careful not to pull the measuring tape too tightly, stand straight and measure around your waist where the crease appeared.
• Low Waist: measure 1.5 inches lower around your waist. You'll need this measurement because women's low and super low rise jeans and pants hit lower on the body.
• Hips: stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part at the top of your legs. Your hips probably are about 8 inches below your waist.
• Inseam: measure a great-fitting pair of pants from the rise to the hem, taking into consideration the height of the shoes you'll be wearing. The number of inches to the nearest half-inch is your inseam length.
Skirts
Women's skirts fit according to length and waist. To find how long a skirt will be on your body, measure from your waist down the center front.
Dresses
For the best fit, measure your bust, hips, and length. To find the right length, measure down from the highest point of your shoulder.
Sweaters, Shirts + T’s
To find your best size, measure around your bust just under your arms, being careful not to pull the tape too tightly. Women’s T’s are designed to fit close to the body, so if you like loose-fitting shirts, choose the next size larger.
Belts

Swim
For the perfect fit, you’ll need to know your cup size and your bust, hip, waist, and torso measurements. Measure around your bust just under your arms, being careful not to pull the tape too tightly.

To find your correct ring size according to the chart below, wrap a string around your finger and measure it against a metric ruler, or measure the inside band of a ring that fits correctly:
