The AMERICAN EAGLE ROLLING STONE LIVE SWEEPSTAKES ("Sweepstakes") starts at 12:01 am Eastern Time ("ET") on 8/12/08 and ends at 11:59 pm (ET) on 9/12/08 ("Entry Period").    The sponsor of this Sweepstakes is American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. ("American Eagle Outfitters"), 77 Hot Metal Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203 (the "Sponsor").  The Sweepstakes shall be subject to these Official Rules, and by entering, all participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.

ELIGIBILITY:  THE SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES & DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO AND ALL U.S. TERRITORIES AND POSSESSIONS AND OVERSEAS MILITARY INSTALLATIONS) AND CANADA (EXCLUDING RESIDENTS OF THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC), TWENTY-ONE (21) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF THE DATE OF THEIR ENTRY.  Employees and their families of the Sponsor, Wenner Media, West Coast Marketing, a division of the Susquehanna Hat Company ("West Coast Marketing"), their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, agencies and participating retailers (collectively, the "Promotion Parties") and those living in the household of same are not eligible to enter or win.  By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to abide by all terms of these Official Rules.

The laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania apply to and govern this Sweepstakes and any claims must be raised and resolved in the Federal or state courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States.

Once you have completed the entry process, click the "Submit" button to submit your completed entry.  ALL ONLINE ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY 11:59 PM (ET) ON 9/12/08.

WINNER SELECTION: One (1) prospective Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing to be held on/about 9/19/08 by West Coast Marketing, an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.  Prize will be awarded.  Prospective Grand Prize winner will be notified by mail, telephone and/or e-mail, within ten (10) days of drawing date and will be required to execute and return a notarized Eligibility Affidavit/Release of Liability (a prospective Canadian winner will be require to complete and return a Declaration of Eligibility/Release of Liability) and (except where prohibited) a Publicity Release and (for U.S. winner) a completed IRS W-9 form within ten (10) days of issuance of notification or an alternate will be selected in a subsequent random drawing.  Prospective Grand Prize winnerâ??s travel companion will also be required to execute and return a Release of Liability within this same time period. If a prospective Grand Prize winner is Canadian he or she will be required to correctly answer without assistance of any kind, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by telephone, e-mail or other delivery method selected at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Any prize notification or prize returned to the Sponsor or its fulfillment company as undeliverable for any reason will be awarded to an alternate. Once correctly executed paperwork is received from a prospective Grand Prize winner as detailed above, such prospective Grand Prize winner shall be declared the official "Grand Prize Winner" in the Sweepstakes. No substitution by the Grand Prize Winner for his or her prize shall be allowed.  If necessary due to unavailability, a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.  Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash.  All Federal, state, provincial, local or other tax liabilities are the sole responsibility of the winner. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use the winnerâ??s name, likeness and statements for publicity purposes without additional compensation or limitation.                                             

PRIZE: GRAND PRIZE (1):  The Grand Prize shall consist of a trip for Grand Prize winner and his or her travel companion (specific dates of travel are to be determined at the sole discretion of the Sponsor or its designee) to a U.S. city to be determined at the sole discretion of the Sponsor ("Destination City") for a Rolling Stone Live event ("Event").  Grand Prize shall include: (i) roundtrip ("r/t") coach airfare (via airline carrier(s) selected by Sponsor) between the major gateway city airport closest to the Grand Prize Winner's home and the Destination City, (ii) two (2) consecutive nights accommodations (1 standard room, double occupancy) at hotel in the Destination City selected by Sponsor ("Hotel"), (iii) r/t airport/Hotel transfers in the Destination City, (iv) a $500.00 USD AE Gift Card*, (approximately $512.00 CAD), (v) VIP seating for Grand Prize Winner and his or her travel companion to Event and (vi) "Meet and Greet" opportunity with select talent as determined by Sponsor.  The approximate retail value ("ARV") of the Grand Prize is $2,300.00 USD (approximately $2,343.68 (CAD). If Grand Prize Winner lives within 100 miles of the Destination City, airfare will not be provided and no ground transportation or additional compensation will be provided in lieu thereof. The specific value of the Grand Prize may depend on departure city, Destination City, fares at the time of travel booking and the value of products and services rendered. Therefore, the value of the Grand Prize awarded may be lower or higher at the time it is fulfilled. Any difference between actual value and ARV will not be awarded. NOTE: Any costs associated with prize receipt and/or use that are not expressly stated above are not included in the prize package and are the responsibility solely of the winner and his/her travel companion. Such costs may include, without limitation, any additional ground transportation, meals, excursions, incidentals, gratuities, telephone calls or other personal costs and expenses not specified herein but relating to use or acceptance of this prize package which are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. Hotel accommodations consist of room and room tax charges only.  Grand Prize Winner and his or her travel companion must travel on the identical itinerary. Travel must originate from and end at the same airport.  Once travel commences, no stopovers are permitted; if stopover occurs, full fare will be charged from stopover point for the remaining segments, including return, of the trip.  All travel elements are subject to availability.  Other travel restrictions may apply.  Grand Prize Winner and his or her travel companion will be required to provide required government issued photo ID at time of travel. Travel will not be eligible for frequent flyer points or miles.  Grand Prize Winner and his or her travel guest are solely responsible for determining and obtaining all necessary travel documents and other travel requirements.  No changes will be made to travel details once any portion of travel arrangements have been made, except at Sponsor's (or its designeeâ??s) sole discretion.  Releasees are not responsible for changes in schedule of any element of the Grand Prize, and Releasees are not liable for any expenses incurred as a consequence of flight cancellation/delay.  Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen tickets, travel vouchers, certificates, gift card or other prize items once they are in the Grand Prize Winnerâ??s possession.  An unclaimed and/or unused Grand Prize travel package will remain the property of Sponsor. 

Grand Prize Winner must be able to travel on dates specified by Sponsor or Grand Prize will be forfeited in its entirety and an alternate potential Grand Prize Winner may (at Sponsorâ??s sole discretion) be selected in a subsequent random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.

*  The AE Gift Card can be redeemed for merchandise only at any AE store, at ae.com, unless otherwise required by law, or by calling 1.888.232.4535.  This card cannot be redeemed for cash or applied as payment for the AE Credit Card, unless otherwise required by applicable law. To redeem online, enter the gift card number and pin number at the payment page of the ae.com checkout. Only one AE Gift Card may by redeemed online at one time. All ae.com orders using AE Gift Cards at checkout will be processed in U.S. funds. Lost, stolen or damaged gift cards may be cancelled and replaced with a new gift card in the amount of the then remaining balance upon proof of original sales receipt as required by AE. Acceptance of the card constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.  The terms and conditions of your AE Gift Card are governed by the laws of the state where the card was accepted.  The AE Gift Card carries no expiration date. The AE Gift Card is issued by AE Admin Services Co. LLC.

The odds of winning the Grand Prize are determined by the total number of eligible entries received.

LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY: Releasees shall not be liable to winner or any other person for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond Sponsorâ??s sole control.  Releasees shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitutions or any act or omissions whatsoever by any air carrier(s), hotel(s), or other transportation companies or any other persons providing any of these services and accommodations to passengers including any results thereof such as changes in services or accommodations necessitated by same.  The passenger contracts in use by the airlines or other transportation companies shall constitute the sole contracts with respect to the Grand Prize winnerâ??s and his/her companionâ??s transportation and such contracts shall be solely between the Grand Prize winner, his/her companion and such transportation companies. Releasees shall not be parties to such contracts and shall assume no responsibility in this connection. Releasees shall not be liable for any loss or damage to baggage or the loss, theft or damage of cash, cameras, jewelry, securities, heirlooms, negotiable papers or other valuables. Sponsorâ??s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

GENERAL:  By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants agree that Releasees shall not be liable for personal injuries, death, damages, expenses or costs or losses of any kind resulting from participation or inability to participate in this Sweepstakes or acceptance of or use or inability to use the prize or parts thereof including, without limitation, claims, suits, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light (whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.  Grand Prize Winner releases the Releasees from any and all liability and responsibility with respect to a prize (including any property loss, damage, personal injury or death).  Grand Prize Winner acknowledges the aforementioned individuals and entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, related to the prize.

If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, or if this Sweepstakes or any web site associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or does not allow the proper playing of the Sweepstakes and processing of entries in accordance with these rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in the Sponsorâ??s sole opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Sweepstakes or any portion thereof.  In the event this Sweepstakes is cancelled, the Sponsor will conduct a random drawing to award the prizes from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to the time of the action or event warranting such cancellation.  If such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension occurs, notification will be posted at the Entry Site.  ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE (INCLUDING THE ENTRY SITE) OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.  If a dispute arises about who submitted an entry on the Entry Site, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account entered. The authorized account holder is deemed the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service provider, or other online organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.  A potential prize winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential prize winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry and that all eligibility requirements are met. 

NOTE: Internet entry must be made by the entrant only at the Entry Site. Entries made by any other individual or any entity, and/or originating at any other web site or e-mail address, including, but not limited to, commercial sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering service sites, will be declared invalid and disqualified for this Sweepstakes.  The use of any device or software to automate the entry process is prohibited.
