    About the SMS
    Who is 23595?
That number is American Eagle's "short code", a brief number used for sending SMS messages. You'll notice that if you type it out on your phone, it uses the same keys as the letters AELYL which is short for American Eagle: Live Your Life.

What is the link in my SMS?
If your phone supports it, the link will bring you to a mini web page inside your phone. The page will contain even more details about all the items you've sent to your phone in addition to a product phones, pricing, and locations.

What are all these numbers in the end of the SMS?
These numbers tell an American Eagle associate exactly how to find the item you sent to your phone. If you're in an American Eagle store, just show the message to an associate, and he will be glad to help you find that exact product.

I can't click on the link in the SMS!
There are some phones which don't allow you to follow a link from an SMS message. You can still see the mini web page, however, if your phone has a web browser. To see the page, open your phone's web browser and go to "m.ae.com". There, you'll be asked to log in using your phone number and PIN. Your pin is the last 4 digits of the link you received in the SMS message. You will only have to log in once; after that, your phone will log in for you automatically. Every phone is different, so if you have questions about how to use your phone's web browser, please consult the manual.

I get a message saying the service is "having problems" when I follow the link!
When we try to keep our service available at all times, it may happen that there are brief times when we need to take it down for a while. If you see this message, please try to view the page again later.

    About the mobile page
I was asked to login with a PIN... what is it?
This will happen when you go to "m.ae.com" directly without having previously logged in, or if your phone's web browser gets reset. Just enter your phone number and PIN (the last four digits from the link in the SMS message) to sign back in. If you no longer have that message, simply send another item to your phone, and the new message will include your PIN.

Why are different items available in different places?
The locations displayed on the mobile page are determined based upon the current, actual availability of each item and the ZIP code entered when that item was sent to your phone. If the closest store to you doesn't have a certain item, a store slightly farther away which does have it will be displayed.

A product which used to be on my phone isn't there any more!
At American Eagle, we're constantly adding new products and selling out of old ones. Each time you look at the list on your phone, we check to see whether all of the items you've sent to your phone are still available. If any are no longer for sale, they will no longer be displayed.

How do I remove items form my phone?
There is no way to remove items from your phone until they expire naturally.

    Can I change my PIN?
No, but you receive your PIN every time you send an item to your phone. If you forget what it is, just send something else to your phone. Your PIN is the last four digits of the link included in the SMS message.

Can I see what's on my phone from the web?
Yes. Just enter the link you received in your SMS message into any web browser.
