#AerieREAL Role Model & Paralympic Medalist, Brenna Huckaby, is pregnant with baby number 2! Find out how this pregnancy is different from her 1st, and what she’s totally obsessed with while she waits for the new addition to her fam.

“I am loving showing off my bump. It’s crazy. The amount of self-love and acceptance I have invested into myself over the last couple of years is really showing through. I am living and loving the now.”

“I can’t wait until it’s cold enough so I can stay snuggled in sweaters & cardigans all the time. In my house, outside my house, doesn’t matter, because they are so comfortable.”

“Something I am completely obsessed with during this pregnancy are cookies. I have been buying, baking and getting cookies delivered multiple times a week. I can’t stop, but hey. I’m going to enjoy the heck out of them these next few months before it’s game on for snowboard training.”

Brenna’s chocolate chip pumpkin cookies

1 cup canned pumpkin
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 egg
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 vanilla extract
2 cups semi sweet mini chocolate chips
1 tsp milk

Combine pumpkin, sugar, oil and egg. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Dissolve the baking soda with the milk and stir in. Add flour mixture slowly to the pumpkin mixture. Mix well.

Add vanilla and chocolate chips.

Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet and back at 350 degrees for roughly 10 minutes. I bake them until they begin to firm. Once firm, allow them to cool.

Aerie, I am so impressed and love supporting you! Great role model, real human in pregnancy #2. Being in that exact situation myself (and just having bought my third new, ridiculously cozy hoodie from you in two weeks!) I love that I still, as a 30 year old, can relate to a store I loved over a decade ago. On top of that, I love the message and the body images you are sending to young girls. My high school students and I discussed your campaign and your outlook the other day, and it is easier to relate self-love when they see real bodies, thick, thin, imperfect modeling clothing they wear. Kudos! Keep doin’ yo thang! ♥️
