On Earth Day and every day we’re all about the plant mom life! That’s why we’ve created this fun and simple fabric planter by using an upcycled Aerie scarf. Read on below to see how you can give your plants new life and make one, too!

WHAT YOU NEED
- 2 yards of fabric of your choice (we used an old Aerie scarf!)
- Empty plant pot
- Scissors
- Marker
- Fabric glue
WHAT TO DO
- Take your fabric and wrap it around the top of your planter.
- Using the marker, mark the spot where your fabric touches so you’ll know where to cut.
- Remove the fabric and use your scissors to cut along the marked line, the whole way down your fabric.
- Once you’ve cut your fabric, create a clean edge by placing a line of fabric glue along the top of your fabric and folding it over once.
- Place a line of fabric glue along the top rim of your planter.
6. Press the finished fabric edge around the glued rim.
7. Continue to glue the fabric on the seam down the side of the planter.
8. Finally, glue the excess fabric to the bottom of your planter.
9. Fill your pot with your fave plant and set in a sunny spot.
10. Enjoy your new fabric planter and the fact that you made it yourself!
