The Aerie Real Foundation is proud to continue making change with I Support the Girls (ISTG), supporting their mission of getting essential items, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products, to people who need them most. This year, we’re so excited to announce that, thanks to the generosity of the Aerie fam, we are awarding a $50,000 Signature Grant to ISTG to help them launch a new educational initiative called The Survival Guide.
Through engaging, informative short form videos shared through social media and in an online hub on ISTG’s website, viewers can learn valuable information about important topics ranging from health and wellbeing, to finances and money management, to body confidence and self-image.
Aerie will continue accepting donations for gently used bras in all stores, providing them to ISTG who will distribute them across the country via their fleet donation vehicles, including the Bra FAERIE!
These vehicles put essential items directly in the hands of those who need them across the country. By providing access to these items & the ability to choose which fits them best, recipients can feel more confident participating in life. The funds will be used for fuel, maintenance, insurance, much-needed upgrades, staff travel to deliver the items to underserved communities, and so much more.
Thanks to you, Aerie fam, The Aerie Real Foundation™ is helping to ensure that ISTG can expand their impact to reach more than 750K people, distributing more than 1M products across underserved urban, suburban, rural and reservation communities.
This January we are holding another weekend-long Bra Trade-In Event, from 1.15-1.18, and accepting more donations for ISTG! Customers can stop by their store to donate a gently used bra in exchange for a $25 Aerie or OFFLINE by Aerie® bra, bralette or sports bra. Thank you for your support, Aerie fam. About I Support the Girls
We are so glad to have met Dana, who started ISTG in 2015 to build a network of love and care and make dignity the norm. Through an international network of Affiliates, I Support the Girls (ISTG) collects and distributes essential items, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products, allowing women and folx experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress with the mission of giving people in need a more healthy and dignified lifestyle.
Dana got inspired to start I Support the Girls when she changed bra sizes and had to go buy new bras. At the store, she asked if she they could help her donate her used bras, and the salesperson told her, “Homeless women need bras.” From there, Dana began her journey to helping to make REAL change.
