You don’t need a garden to have a garden party<\/em>! These vintage teacup candles are a great way to upcycle some thrifted porcelain or repurpose your grandmother’s old china. Read on below to see how we made these fun candles and how you can, too! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT YOU NEED<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Teacups<\/li>
  • Wax (we recommend beeswax or soy to keep it vegan)<\/li>
  • Candle wicks<\/li>
  • Double boiler<\/li>
  • Wooden dowel rods<\/li>
  • Candle dye and\/or fragrance*<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    *Optional<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    WHAT TO DO<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Place water in the bottom of your double boiler and set to medium heat.<\/li>
    2. In the top of your double boiler, place your wax.<\/li>
    3. Stir wax until fully melted and smooth.<\/li>
    4. Add any desired dye or fragrance and stir to combine.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      \"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
      \"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
      1. Place a wick at the bottom of the teacup.<\/li>
      2. Wrap the wick around a wooden dowel rod and place it across the top of your teacup. This will hold the wick in place.<\/li>
      3. Slowly pour the wax into your teacup, leaving about a 1\/2 inch space at from the top.<\/li>
      4. Let wax fully harden, about 4 hours.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Once the wax has hardened, remove the dowel and trim the wick to 1\/4 inch above the wax.<\/li>
        2. Gift the candle or light it in your home!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
