Average AE jeans
I bought these online hoping the leg opening would be between a straight and a boot, but these are just like boot cut jeans. The slim refers to the leg, not the leg opening. These jeans are all right--the wash is great and the denim is exactly what I hoped for (nice and thick--doesn't look cheap), but the cut just isn't right. Like most AE jeans that I buy, there isn't enough room in bottom for me to be able to bend down without experiencing the plumber's crack effect. Also like most AE jeans, they are exactly the right tightness when they're first put on or right after washing, but they stretch out through out the day one or two sizes, meaning they're needing to be constantly yanked up. Moreover, when they stretch out they just look too big, which makes me look bigger. Not flattering! AE, you can do better!

Looser than Original Boot Jean!
I bought the tinted indigo color Original Boot jeans as well as this pair in size 6 short (I'm 5"2"). The Slim Boot style is supposed to be more fitted than the Original, but I found these jeans to be the complete OPPOSITE. They're looser and baggier than the Original Boot. I checked the labels and tags to make sure it wasn't a mixup, but nope, they're "Slim Boot" style for sure. I'm not sure if it's just this pair that's defective, or if this color has the problem ... or if ALL the "Slim Boots" are this way because this is the first pair of this style that I've bought! Too bad, because now I have to return them.
Generally, I love AE jeans, but they are so inconsistent in sizing, shape, and length even within the same styles! It's hard to tell if something fits you right until you try it on.

Love!
I love these jeans! I gave them 4 stars just because when i got them in the mail they had a bad smell, and ive washed them several times now and still smell. But they are comfortable! I got a size bigger because i was afraid they would be small...well they are big on me but i still love to wear them all the time!

GREAT Jeans!
I now have 2 pair, and absolutely LOVE these jeans! Fit is perfect-except length if you're under 5'2"--still a little long! Long seems to be ok right now, and is perfect if you wear heels alot! I highly recommend these jeans!
