100% Happiness Promise Return Policy
Get what you want, and return what you don’t. If you're not completely happy with a purchase, it can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of the purchase date, or returned for merchandise credit within 60 days. Purchased your items online? We’ll give you an additional 7 days to make your return.
Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, with all labels and tags attached and hygienic liners in place for swimsuits and underwear.
For purchases made online or in stores between November 1st and December 24th, an extended return window may apply with the original proof of purchase or gift receipt.
If there appears to be fraud or abuse, we may not accept your return.
In-Store Returns
Whether you bought your items online or in any of our stores, you can return or exchange them at any AE, Aerie, Offline, or AE Factory store. It’s fast and free!
Choose how to get your refund:
Exchange your item(s) for any item(s) of equal or lesser value. If you don't have proof of purchase, you can exchange your item(s) for a different size.
Merchandise credit in the form of an AEO Merchandise return card. In-store returns for online orders purchased with OXXO, Aplazo, or gift cards will be refunded in the form of a gift card.
A full refund to the original form of payment used for the purchase. Proof of purchase is required, such as a receipt, invoice, order history page, or order email.
Online Returns
If you received items by mail, it's easy to send them back! Here’s how to submit your return:
Log in to your account
Go to your orders
Select the order in question
Choose “return by mail”
Print a copy of your Order Details page and circle the item(s) you are returning.
Next to each item you are returning, write the letter related to your return reason code (see below):
B - Too big
S - Too small
D - Defective
J - I did not like it
F - The fabric is not what I expected
G - I am returning a gift
I - Item was damaged during shipping
L - Delivered later than expected
W - Wrong item delivered
OR - Other
If your order qualifies for a free return, use the label provided in your package. If it did not qualify for a free return, you will pay the cost of the return.
