Nothing is better than a day spent in Aerie swim! We think every swimsuit deserves the best care and that’s why we’ve created this simple guide on how to care for all of yours. Read on to see the easy steps to keep your fave bikini ready to vacay again and again!

Hand wash & use a gentle detergent

Keeping your swim clean is SO important. When it comes to washing, avoid using the washing machine and dryer. Hand wash using a gentle, color-safe detergent to avoid fading.

Rinse in cold water

Even if you’re in a hurry or can’t use a detergent, you should still rinse your swim out in cold water. Rinsing your swimsuit will remove any excess detergent or chemicals. Run your suit under water until there are no suds and the water runs clear.

Remove excess water with dry towel

Wringing the water out of your swim can cause the material to stretch or lose its shape. Instead, use a clean, dry towel to pat your suit dry and remove any excess water. Pay special attention to any padding as it can be more absorbent.

Lay flat or hang to dry

Machine drying your swim can cause it to shrink or snag. It’s best to lay your swim flat or hang it to dry. Allow your suit to dry completely before your put it away or pack it for your next beach day.

By following these steps, your swim will live a long and happy life. Are you going to use this guide to take better care of your swim? Comment below & tell us!
