Excellent belt!
This belt got a lot of bad reviews but I have to disagree. I purchased the black belt. The smell was minimal and faded after wearing the belt for a day. The color never rubbed off on my jeans and the belt is strong and well made. The leather is quite flexible and soft when wearing it and the buckle is smooth so it's very comfortable to wear I almost forget I have it on. I suggest wearing this belt with your jeans or even shorts it will hold them up for you but at the same time also makes your outfit look great. Can be worn as casual or dress.

This looks like such a cute belt until you open your package and a large smell hits you. It smells terrible and like most reviews said, the smell stains your clothes and it gets this old look after a few wears

poor quality
I bought this same belt a year ago and it was fantastic quality, thick and flexible leather. Probably my favorite belt that I've ever owned. I've lost weight, so I recently ordered it in a medium and it was a completely different belt! Thin, poor quality, smelled bad. The material on the back is scratchy and will snag your clothes if not careful putting it on. I didn't want to fuss with sending back 1 belt so I still have it, but I will be much more careful with future purchases as it seems AE is starting to cut corners on quality.

I am so happy to know that I'm not the only one that got a horrible smelling belt! It doesn't even look dark brown anymore because the color rubbed off on everything! I don't even get to wear it like I want to because I can't stand the smell or that its faded.
