If we could sip only one type of drink all winter it would most definitely be hot chocolate! Last week we hosted our first ever Holiday Blogger Party for our friends in New York City and had our very own DIY Hot Chocolate Bar! Despite our attempts to persuade our team to build a hot chocolate bar at our office (we’re not feeling optimistic) we had so much fun decorating our drinks with very necessary amounts of whipped cream that made our hot chocolates incredibly Instagram worthy. Read on below to see how we created THE perfect hot chocolate!
Whether it’s from a packet or a homemade recipe, pour your hot chocolate mix into your favorite winter mug! (Ours are plastic – easier to clean up at the party!)
Load on the whipped cream! Don’t forget to shake the bottle, push down a bit into your mug, and swirl!
Next step…add MORE chocolate! We placed chocolate chips on the whipped cream and sprinkled a dash of cinnamon on top. We placed little mini marshmallows on top AND added one large marshmallow right in the middle.
Last step? Add a candy cane. Stir as desired!
