“Valentine’s Day (which is one of my favorite holidays) is right around the corner! I know, I know… Valentine’s Day can be a real drag if you’re not taken. But it doesn’t have to be that way!  Before I met my fiance, I would go out with my girlfriends for a fun night of dinner and drinks. Now, Hayes and I like to cook for each other in our pajamas, listen to music, and watch movies at home.”

“As much as I love spending lots of time with Hayes and my girlfriends, I do love some good quiet “me time.” Sometimes I’ll walk around my neighborhood with my headphones in or sit by the bay at the end of a long week reflecting on the last few days. But one of my absolute favorite things to do is take my parents dog Poppy for a walk on the beach.”

“Newport Beach, my hometown, really dies down during the winter especially on week days which makes it the perfect time to let Poppy run loose. When the tide is low and the waves are small, I’ll throw a tennis ball for her into the water and watch her splash across the sandbar. She is just the cutest! Except when she chases a bird for half a mile down the beach and I have to chase after her. I definitely get my cardio in that way! Spending time in the sun and salty air gives me time to reflect and unwind which is something we all need from time to time.”
