Delivery, Shipping & Handling

Delivery Policy

All deliveries are pending credit approval, merchandise availability, delivery and weather conditions. Once you place an order, you have up to 1 hour to cancel or change it. You’ll receive an email when your order has shipped. AE.com offers FREE standard shipping on orders of $75 or more to the US. Orders under $75 are charged a $7.95 flat rate for standard shipping. It may be necessary to send your order in two or more shipments. Shipping charges apply only to the first package shipped. There are no additional shipping charges for additional packages on the same order. Restrictions may apply.

Missing Packages

Be sure to check around your house and mailbox, or ask your neighbors if they received it for you. There's also a chance it was marked ‘Delivered’ before it was dropped off. If your package still hasn’t turned up 72 hours after you received a delivery confirmation email, contact customer service at 1 (888) 232-4535.

Shipping and Delivery Options

Standard Shipping

  • Currently, orders may take 3-5 business days to arrive. Orders shipping to APO/FPO/DPO, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and P.O. Box addresses may take 3-7 business days.

  • Standard shipping must be used for all orders containing AE fragrance. At this time, we cannot ship AE fragrance to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes or APO/FPO/DPO addresses. Standard delivery must also be used for orders shipped to U.S. territories, Alaska, Hawaii or APO/FPO/DPO and P.O. Box addresses.

  • Some items may be shipped from an AE, aerie or Factory store in the United States. Items shipping from a store can only be delivered to street addresses in the continental United States.


2nd Day Shipping (2 business days)

  • 2nd Day delivery orders can only be shipped to street addresses in the continental United States.
  • Orders placed by 1 PM EST Monday through Wednesday will ship that day and arrive two business days later.

  • Orders placed by 1 PM EST Thursday will ship that day and will arrive Monday.

  • Orders placed by 1 PM EST Friday will ship that day and will arrive Tuesday.

  • Order placed after 1 PM EST Friday through the weekend will arrive Wednesday.


Overnight Shipping (1 business day)

  • Overnight delivery orders can only be shipped to street addresses in the continental United States.
  • Orders placed by 1 PM EST Monday through Thursday will ship that day to arrive the next business day.

  • Orders placed between 1 PM EST Thursday and 1 PM EST Friday will arrive Monday.

  • Orders placed after 1 PM EST Friday through the weekend will arrive Tuesday.

ShopRunner (2 business days)

  • American Eagle Outfitters provides FREE Two Day Shipping by ShopRunner to ShopRunner members with online purchases of $75 or more. ShopRunner shipping will follow the 2nd Day Shipping policy (see above).

Orders will be processed and shipped pending credit card authorization. When you place an order, we will pre-authorize your credit card to ensure the funds are available. If you are using MasterCard or Visa, the pre-authorization may appear as if you have been charged. With some institutions' cards, the funds become unavailable, but the account is not debited until the order ships. If the order is canceled for any reason, the time it takes for the hold to release depends on the issuer of the card.
