What is AEO Connected?
The AEO Connected™ rewards program (“the AEO Connected Program”) is American Eagle Outfitters' (“AEO”) new rewards program whereby members earn points on purchases (after discounts and before taxes and fees) made at American Eagle Outfitters, Aerie stores and AEO Factory stores, through online transactions (including purchases made through the AEO | Aerie Mobile App) and direct phone orders.
There are two levels of membership in the AEO Connected Program: (1) Full Access membership and (2) Extra Access membership. For every 2,500 points earned, a $10 Reward is issued to Full Access members and a $15 Reward is issued to Extra Access members. Additional benefits include buy 5 bras (excluding clearance and third party), get one 1 free, buy five 5 pairs of jeans (excluding clearance, third party and other denim items such as skirts, shorts, and shirts), get one 1 free, an exclusive birthday offer, and other members-only sales and events.
How can I join the AEO Connected Program?
Membership is free, and open to individuals residing in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico) and Canada who are at least 15 years of age. You can join the AEO Connected Program by enrolling at www.ae.com/us/en/aeoconnected, on the AEO | Aerie Mobile App, by asking your store associate to enroll you, or by calling 1-800-340-0532. You’ll need to provide a valid email address to enroll so that we can send you rewards. You can also provide us a mobile number if you’d like us to text your rewards to you. Standard text messaging rates apply.
I was a Member of the AERewards loyalty program (“the AERewards Program”). Do I have to do anything different to participate in the new AEO Connected Program?
If you were a member of the AERewards Program or have a current AEO credit card or Aerie credit card with an email address on file, you are automatically enrolled in the AEO Connected Program. Just be sure your email address is up to date by logging into your AEO Connected Program account at ae.com. You can still use your current AERewards Program member ID from your AERewards Program card in stores and online.
I am an AEO Credit Cardholder or Aerie Credit Cardholder. What will happen to my Extra Savings points?
The last day to earn Extra Savings points under the AERewards Program is September 5, 2017. Extra Savings rewards certificates will be issued based on your Extra Savings points balance as of September 5, 2017. Extra Savings rewards certificates should arrive in homes in early October 2017.
Will my last AERewards Program certificate still work in the new AEO Connected Program?
Yes! You will still be able to use your final AERewards Program certificate in the AEO Connected Program (subject to the terms and conditions on the certificate) and you will earn points in the AEO Connected Program for what you spend starting on September 6, 2017. Final AERewards Program certificates will be sent out in September 2017 for points you earned between July 1, 2017 and September 5, 2017.
Can I stay in the AERewards Program?
No. Beginning on September 6, 2017 the AEO Connected Program will fully replace the AERewards Program. Points and rewards will no longer be earned or received under the AERewards Program. Final AERewards Program certificates will begin arriving in the mail September 25, 2017.
Why is my email address required in order to participate in the AEO Connected Program?
In order to send you your rewards, your email address is required. We do not mail rewards as our AEO Connected Program is paperless, and we want to make sure that your earned rewards get to the right place. You can also provide a mobile number if you’d like us to text your rewards to you. Standard text messaging rates apply.
What if I don’t have an email address, can I still participate in the AEO Connected Program?
No. Because the AEO Connected Program is a paperless program, a valid email address is required in order to participate.
If you were already a member of the AERewards Program but did not previously provide an email address, you can simply visit a store or call Customer Service at 1-800-340-0532 to add an email address to your account and start receiving rewards under the AEO Connected Program.
How do I update my AEO Connected Program account profile or check my balance?
Your account information can be accessed at www.ae.com/us/en/aeoconnected, by accessing the latest version of the AEO | Aerie Mobile App, or by calling 1-800-340-0532. If you had an ae.com account previously, your login remains the same. If you need to create an account, use the email address you used to sign up for the AEO Connected Program when setting up your account.

Why should I download the AEO | Aerie Mobile App?
Downloading the AEO | Aerie Mobile App allows you to easily track your points balance, scan your loyalty barcode to earn points, and have your rewards available right in the app. If you need to create an account, use the email address you used to sign up for the AEO Connected Program when setting up your account.
How many points do I earn with the AEO Connected Program?
Members of the AEO Connected Program are eligible to earn 10 points for every qualifying $1 (USD) spent, rounded to the nearest USD, at American Eagle Outfitters stores, Aerie stores, AEO Factory stores, through online transactions (including purchases made through the AEO | Aerie Mobile App) and via direct phone orders. No points will be earned on purchases made in Tailgate stores, Don’t Ask Why stores or at Todd Snyder stores.
When buying in-store, just make sure to let the associate know you are a member – you can show your rewards card on your mobile phone or the associate can look you up with your phone number, email address, or with your last name and zip code. When you’re buying online, be sure to log in before you complete your purchase.
The number of points you earn varies if you are using an AEO credit card/ Aerie credit card or an AEO Visa Card or Aerie Visa card.

What’s a qualifying purchase for earning points?
When purchasing in-store, online or over the phone, the qualifying amount for earning points is the transaction subtotal for merchandise, excluding third party merchandise, Gift Card purchases or charitable items, after any discounts or rewards have been applied and before sales or other taxes, state fees and shipping charges. But don’t worry; you’ll still earn points if you pay for your merchandise with a gift card. Purchases made at Don’t Ask Why stores, Tailgate stores, Todd Snyder stores are not eligible for points earning.
Do I earn points for my online purchases?
Yes! You earn the same number of points whether you shop in-store at American Eagle Outfitters or Aerie, on the AEO | Aerie Mobile App, or online at AE.com or Aerie.com. Just be sure to log in before you complete your purchase.
Are there other ways to earn points?
AEO periodically offers limited time opportunities to earn additional points.

How do I become an Extra Access member?
If you spend $350 USD or more (excluding gift card purchases, purchases made at Don’t Ask Why stores, Tailgate stores, Todd Snyder stores, charitable items and after Taxes and Fees) at American Eagle Outfitters, Aerie stores and AEO Factory stores, through online transactions (including purchases made through the AEO | Aerie Mobile App) and direct phone orders in a calendar year, you’ll automatically be given Extra Access status starting with your next purchase. Your status as an Extra Access member will be good to the end of the year and for the next calendar year as well! For example, if you become an Extra Access member in October 2017, you will maintain Extra Access status through December 31, 2018.
What do I get for becoming an AEO Connected Program Extra Access member?
Extra Access members earn $15 Rewards instead of $10 Rewards for every 2,500 points earned. In addition, Extra Access members also receive free standard shipping to the U.S. (including Puerto Rico), and Canada. Plus, Extra Access members will receive an exclusive birthday offer of 20% off instead of 15%.
How do I use my free standard shipping benefit?
Simply log in to your AEO Connected account when shopping online or through the AEO | Aerie Mobile App. Free shipping will automatically be applied when you check out.
You can also take advantage of every day free standard shipping just by using your AEO credit card or Aerie credit card when checking out online!
Are there any other benefits of being a member of the AEO Connected program?
Yes! As a member, if you purchase 5 pairs of jeans at AEO (excluding clearance, third party, and other denim items, such as skirts, shorts and shirts) you will get 1 pair free! You can redeem the free jeans reward at American Eagle Outfitters stores, online or via the mobile App.
Also, if you purchase 5 bras and/or bralettes (excluding clearance and third party) you will get 1 bra free! You can redeem the free bra reward at Aerie stores, online or via the mobile App.
Once you have earned these rewards, they will be sent to you via email and text, depending on your preferences. Your rewards are also available right in your account, so be sure to log in at ae.com or via the AEO | Aerie Mobile App to access your Rewards, as well as easily track your points and scan your card to earn points.
You will also receive a special birthday offer, which you can use one time on any day during your birth month.
How do I report missing points, bra or jeans purchases if I forget to give my membership information?
You can request points and credits for a missing purchase by logging onto our website at ae.com/us/en/myaccount/aeoconnected/earning-history or the AEO | Aerie Mobile App and filling out the Missing Purchase form within 60 days of your purchase. You can also request points and credits for a missing purchase by accessing an agent via our Live Chat feature on our website, or by calling 1-800-340-0532 within 60 days of your purchase. In order to receive credit for a missing purchase you must have your receipt or online packing slip available.
Do points and jeans and bra credits expire?
Points and credits will only expire if you do not make at least one qualifying purchase within a 12-month period. For example, if your last purchase was on October 10, 2017 your points will expire after October 10, 2018.
After that period of inactivity, all points and credits will expire. Please see the AEO Connected Rewards Program Terms and Conditions for additional details about point expiration.
Why are jean and bra rewards going away?
We’re removing jean and bra rewards to make way for what you’ve told us you want: more flexible rewards you can use on whatever you want. That means jeans and bras, yes, but also tees, hoodies, joggers, sweaters, leggings, swim, undies… You get the idea.
Will I still earn jean and bra credits and rewards?
No, you will no longer earn credits toward or rewards for free jeans and bras purchased after June 21, 2020. However, you’ll still earn points on all your jean and bra purchases, and you’ll be able to use those points on whatever styles you want!
What happens to the jean and bra credits I’ve earned?
You can still earn credits and rewards on purchases made by 11:59:59 p.m. EST on June 21, 2020. Purchases made after this date will not earn credits or rewards toward free jeans or bras. But we promise, other exciting newness is coming your way.
When will I get my last free jean or bra reward, if I earned one?
Hold tight, it can take up to 3 weeks after June 21, 2020 for your reward to appear.
What do my points get me?
For every 2,500 points earned, Full Access members receive a $10 Reward and Extra Access members receive a $15 Reward.
Rewards are automatically generated and typically issued at least monthly. You should typically receive your Reward within 15-21 days after you reach 2,500 points, or after you have earned a free bra or free jeans reward. Rewards are sent directly to your email address, so make sure your email address on file is up-to-date. You can also access your rewards by logging into your account at ae.com/aeoconnected or via the AEO | Aerie Mobile App.
Rewards are not valid in Tailgate stores, Don’t Ask Why stores or at Todd Snyder stores. Rewards are not valid for previously purchased merchandise, gift cards, Tailgate branded merchandise, or 3rd party merchandise.
Rewards must be used within 45 days of being issued and are non-transferable. Rewards can be used with other offers including other $10 Off Rewards or your Free Jeans and Free Bras Rewards. You can also provide a mobile number if you want us to text you your Rewards, and Rewards are also available on the AEO | Aerie Mobile App. If you think you should have received a Reward, but did not, please contact us at 1-800-340-0532.
How do I get my rewards?
Once you have earned a reward it will be sent to you via email or text, depending on your preferences. Your rewards are also available right in your account, so be sure to log in at ae.com or via the AEO | Aerie Mobile App to access your rewards, as well as easily track your points and scan your card to earn points.
Birthday offers are sent at the beginning of your birthday month, so make sure to watch out for it in your inbox and be sure to log in at ae.com or via the AEO | Aerie Mobile App to access your rewards!
How do I redeem a reward?
Just show the email or text with the dollar-off, free jeans, or free bra rewards to your store associate from your phone – or you can print it out if you prefer. If you’re purchasing online, be sure to log in and any available rewards will appear right at checkout for you to easily apply. You can also enter the reward code into the Promo Code box when you check out.
Additionally, rewards can be redeemed in American Eagle Outfitters stores, Aerie stores or AEO Factory stores, at ae.com or aerie.com or via the AEO | Aerie Mobile App. Rewards cannot be redeemed in Tailgate stores, Todd Snyder stores or Don’t Ask Way stores.
What happens if I make a return?
If you return a purchase, the points you earned from that purchase will be removed from your AEO Connected Program account. If you return jeans or bras, the number of jeans or bras you return will be deducted from the total credits you had accumulated towards your Free Jean or Free Bra Reward. If you return a purchase after you have already earned a reward for that purchase, your points balance may fall below zero.
Can I get cash back for any unused rewards?
No, dollar-off rewards and Free Jeans or Free Bra Rewards have no cash value and therefore no cash can be given for any remaining balance not spent.
My reward expired before I could use it. Will you still honor it?
No, once Rewards expire they can no longer be redeemed.

I lost my reward. Can I get a replacement?
No, Rewards cannot be replaced. To avoid losing your rewards, be sure to log on to your account at ae.com or through the mobile app where rewards are issued, stored and easily accessible for your convenience. What are the benefits of having an AEO Credit Card or Aerie Credit Card / AEO Visa Card or Aerie Visa Card?
AEO credit cardholders or Aerie credit cardholders who provide a unique email address are automatically members of the AEO Connected program and earn an extra 5 points per $1 USD spent (for a total of 15 points per $1 USD) for qualifying purchases at American Eagle Outfitters, Aerie stores and AEO Factory stores, through online transactions (including purchases made through the AEO | Aerie Mobile App) and direct phone orders when they use their AEO Credit Card or Aerie Credit Card or AEO Visa Card or Aerie Visa Card. Points will be applied to the loyalty account provided for each transaction. AEO Credit Card or Aerie Visa cardholders earn 5 points per $1 USD when using an AEO Visa Card everywhere else Visa® credit cards are accepted. Please see the previous question about points earning for more information. Points for purchases made outside of AEO will be applied to the loyalty account connected to the AEO Visa Card. The email address provided must be a unique email address that you have the right to use. Only one AEO Connected program membership may be associated with a single email address. You may have one and only one AEO Connected program membership.
AEO credit cardholders or Aerie credit cardholders will also enjoy free standard shipping to the U.S. (including Puerto Rico) and Canada whenever they use their AEO or Aerie credit card and 6 special cardholder events per year. Plus, we will send you a special one-time discount to use any day of the year—your own “Personal Shopping Day”! For your birthday, you’ll receive a coupon for 20% off a single total purchase for use during your birth month.

How do I cancel my membership?
AEO Connected Program membership can be cancelled at any time by calling Customer Service at 1-800-340-0532. If you have an AEO Credit Card or Aerie Credit Card account and you close your AEO Connected program membership, you will no longer earn rewards with your credit card. Cancelling your AEO Connected program Membership will not result in the closing of an AEO or Aerie Credit card account.
